Location: United States of America
Issues: Company X, a fully operating company growing silicon monocrystalline to produce silicon wafers, operates a silicon defect test laboratory.
● The silicon defect test lab is equipped with metrology tools and equipment,
● The silicon defect test lab was provided with the standard operating procedures,
● The silicon defect test lab has a set of trained technicians, and an engineer.
However, the silicon defect test lab did not produce the correct, consistent results. Engineers were not able to use the silicon defect results to produce good quality silicon wafers or devices.
The company could not pinpoint the real issues or solutions. Once consulted and engaged, Othman & Partners identified the issues and developed a solution and plan/timeline to overcome the issues.

The silicon defect test lab now produce reliable, consistent results with 67% improved quality.
Project 2
Industry: Solar
Location: Taiwan
Issues: Silicon monocrystalline company Y is growing and supplying silicon wafers to a solar cell device maker. However, the solar cell device company complained that the vendor’s performance yields were horrible and wanted to terminate the contract.
Othman & Partners were engaged to evaluate the technology capabilities of both parties.
Othman & Partners consultation results:
Othman designed an engineering program which improved vendor performance from 30% to 95%.

Location: South Korea
Issues: A silicon monocrystalline company is growing and supplying Silicon wafers to a solar cell device maker. The solar cell efficiencies yields are inconsistent. Neither the vendor nor the client can identify the source.

Othman & Partners found out the issues came from both parties, who were able to do process improvement. At project completion, the yield is excellent and consistent.
